Single Valve Replacement

Double Valve Replacement

A surgical procedure in which both valves of the heart are replaced.

ASD

Surgical procedure done to correct holes on the Atrial Septum. Depending on the severity, can be done through a minimally invasive procedure using a catheter where the hole in the heart is plugged close with the help of video imaging, or through open-heart surgery where the heart is accessed directly by the surgeon through a chest incision to close the hole.

VSD

Used to treat Ventricular Septal Defects. The surgical procedure is the same as that of ASD.

Pneumonectomy/Lobectomy

Lobectomy is a procedure in which the diseased lobe of the lung is removed through surgery. Pneumonectomy removes the entire lung.

Pleurectomy (Decortication)

Transposition of Great Arteries (TGA)

The two main arteries of the heart are transposed. This congenital heart problem is corrected through open-heart surgery.

B. T. Shunt

A Blalock-Taussig (BT) shunt is inserted temporarily to help clear the blood flow from the heart to lung while waiting for the corrective surgery.

Reconstruction of Trachea

A procedure done to treat breathing difficulties by widening the trachea (windpipe).

AV Graft Fistula – Level – 1

AV fistula directly connects the artery to the vein and increases the blood flow into the vein, making it easier to access during haemodialysis. In AV graft, a synthetic tube is used.
