What is minimally invasive ASD closure?

Atrial Septal Defect, commonly called ASD, is a congenital heart condition where there is a hole in the trial septum, the wall between the left and right atria. This is a potentially dangerous condition which affects the smooth functioning of heart and the circulatory system which can then lead to heart failure or stroke because of the unbalanced and excessive blood flow. If left untreated for a long time, ASD can also cause permanent structural deformities to the heart which can lead to further complications.
